In March 2026, the partners of the Erasmus+ Sport project OTTY – Only Thanks To You gathered online for the Final Meeting of the project, marking the conclusion of a collaborative journey dedicated to preventing doping among adolescents through education and youth work in sport. 💻🤝
The meeting brought together representatives from all partner organisations to present the final results of the project, reflect on the work carried out during the past months, and discuss the impact of the OTTY Method within youth sport environments. 🧩⚽
Presenting the OTTY results 📚
One of the central moments of the meeting was the presentation of the main project outcomes, including the three publications that together form the OTTY Method. 📖
Participants reviewed the key themes explored throughout the project: the risk factors that can lead adolescents toward doping, the educational role of sports youth workers, and the practical strategies that can help create healthier and more responsible sporting environments. 🧠🏃♂️
The partners highlighted how the OTTY Method offers youth workers, coaches, teachers, and sports organisations concrete tools to address doping prevention through education, dialogue, and positive role modelling. 🗣️🌱
Evaluating the project impact 📊
The meeting also provided an opportunity to evaluate the impact of the project activities. Partners shared feedback from the workshops, training sessions, and dissemination activities organised during the project. 📝
The discussion confirmed the relevance of the project topic and the strong need for educational approaches that address doping prevention not only as a regulatory issue, but also as a cultural and social challenge affecting young people. 🚫💊
Participants also reflected on how the tools developed through OTTY can continue to support youth workers and sports organisations in the future. 🔄🏅
Looking ahead 🌍
Although the project officially concluded with this final meeting, the OTTY partners emphasised that the work does not end here. The materials produced and the partnerships created will continue to contribute to promoting a healthier and more responsible vision of sport. 💪✨
By strengthening the role of youth workers and encouraging young people to make informed decisions, the OTTY project has laid the foundations for a sporting culture where integrity, education, and well-being come before performance at all costs. 🧭💙
The Final Meeting represented not only the closing of the project, but also the beginning of a broader commitment to ensuring that sport remains a positive and educational space for future generations. 🌱🏆
