Behind Ref4aDay is a diverse and passionate partnership of organisations committed to changing how referees are perceived and building more inclusive, respectful sport environments across Europe.
🇵🇹 ADDJ – Associação para o Desenvolvimento do Desporto Juvenil (Portugal) Founded in 2003, ADDJ is a school-based sports organisation dedicated to promoting education, inclusion and healthy lifestyles through sport. With a strong pedagogical approach and a team of experienced trainers, ADDJ develops national and European projects aimed at children and youth, focusing on social values, personal growth and ethical behaviour on and off the field.
🇱🇹 Sportuokime Kartu (Lithuania) Based in Kaunas, Sportuokime Kartu — meaning "Let’s practice sport together" — encourages active lifestyles and family participation in sport. Through its football and dance schools, the organisation has involved more than 100 families, promoting gender equality and social cohesion. By challenging stereotypes and creating inclusive spaces, it proves that sport can be a tool for education and social transformation.
🇮🇹 ASD Sparta Calcio (Italy) – is more than just a football club. Born from the union of two grassroots sport realities in Rome, it has become a symbol of inclusion and community empowerment. With a no-fee policy for players and a strong commitment to diversity, Sparta Calcio uses sport as a way to bring people together, especially those facing social and economic barriers.
Together, these three organisations are building Ref4aDay: a project that empowers youth to walk in the shoes of a referee for a day, promoting empathy, understanding and a culture of fair play across Europe.
Follow our journey and discover how sport can become a real engine of social change.
