Within the AFS – ADHD Focus in Sport project, we have created a series of 13 short video tips designed for coaches, trainers, and sports educators who work with young athletes with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder).
Each video offers a practical and easy-to-apply strategy, presented by professionals from different European countries. The goal is to provide concrete tools that make sports training more inclusive, effective, and motivating for everyone.

Each video focuses on a specific key topic:
Understanding ADHD – recognizing the characteristics and needs of young athletes with ADHD.
Building a structured routine – creating clear and predictable routines.
Encouraging active engagement – keeping motivation high through dynamic activities.
Managing distractions – reducing stimuli and improving focus.
Using support tools – implementing visual and practical aids to foster autonomy.
Promoting self-regulation – teaching techniques for emotional self-control.
Communicating effectively – using clear and concise communication.
Adapting activities – making sports accessible without lowering expectations.
Providing emotional support – strengthening self-esteem and recognizing progress.
Keeping a positive perspective – valuing small, meaningful achievements.
Collaborating with families and peers – building a strong support network around the athlete.
Boosting motivation through goals – setting clear, achievable goals to maintain motivation.
Creating a supportive team culture – promoting inclusion, cooperation, and mutual respect.
The playlist ends with a collective advocacy video, “ADHD and Sport”, where all contributors join their voices to deliver one strong message:
“ADHD is not laziness. It’s a different way of living attention and energy. And sport can turn that difference into strength.”
