The TRANSPORTACTION! project aims to strengthen the skills of grassroots sports associations in creating inclusive and safe environments for transgender, gender-diverse, and intersex individuals. Through a practical and educational approach, the project provides concrete tools to enhance welcoming practices, communication, and the management of shared spaces in gyms and sports centers.

The activities are structured into four key phases:

Training: Educating coaches, instructors, and sports facility managers on inclusion and gender identity.
Developing: Creating accessible training materials available on an e-learning platform.
Implementing: Applying the learned methodologies within local sports communities.
Promoting: Disseminating best practices through awareness campaigns.
The project addresses an urgent need for inclusion in sports, where many transgender individuals refrain from participating due to fear of discrimination. TRANSPORTACTION! provides practical solutions to ensure equal access to sports activities, through inclusive communication strategies and the adaptation of training programs to diverse physical needs.

The collaboration between Italy, Spain, and Portugal enables the development of a replicable training model at the European level, fostering positive cultural change and creating a network of sports organizations committed to inclusion. The project aligns with the Erasmus+ priorities on equity, accessibility, and diversity, promoting sports as a tool for social cohesion and well-being for all.
