Meet the Partners Behind BREAK THE BULLY CYCLE: Four Organisations, One Shared Mission

BREAK THE BULLY CYCLE (BTBC) is a project co-funded by the European Union.


A strong and impactful project starts with a strong partnership.Break the Bully Cycle (BTBC) brings together four organisations from Italy, Spain and Bulgaria, each contributing specific expertise, experience and motivation to tackle bullying in youth sport.Although diverse in background and identity, the partners share one common vision: building safer, more inclusive and more educational sports environments for young people.


Sparta Calcio (Italy) – Project Coordinator

Sparta Calcio is a dynamic and community-rooted sports association based in Italy.As the project coordinator, Sparta Calcio oversees the entire management process, ensuring that every activity aligns with the project’s goals, timeline and quality standards.

Key roles in BTBC:

  • overall coordination and administration

  • logistical organisation of meetings and events

  • communication management and visibility of the project

  • facilitation of collaboration between partners

Their solid organisational structure and long-standing experience in youth sport make them the ideal lead partner for this initiative.


YMCA Roma (Italy) – Leader of Educational and Training Activities

YMCA Roma brings extensive experience in youth work, non-formal education and community development.The organisation plays a fundamental role in shaping the training dimension of BTBC, designing workshops, educational materials and inclusive methodologies.

Key contribution:

  • development of the Safety & Inclusion Training Package

  • leadership in non-formal learning and youth empowerment

  • delivery of training sessions during transnational and local meetings

  • support to communication and dissemination activities

YMCA Roma ensures that the project’s educational content is practical, accessible and grounded in real experience with young athletes and coaches.


Brainstorming (Spain) – Monitoring and Impact Assessment

Brainstorming is a Spanish association specialising in project evaluation, quality assurance and youth participation.In BTBC, Brainstorming is responsible for monitoring the project from start to finish, ensuring transparency, accuracy and effective implementation.

Key roles:

  • creation of the monitoring plan

  • evaluation of activities, learning outcomes and participant feedback

  • coordination of corrective measures when needed

  • contribution to strategic planning and reporting

Their expertise guarantees that the project remains consistent, measurable and oriented toward real, long-term impact.


Sportsroom (Bulgaria) – Eco-Management and Dissemination

Sportsroom is a Bulgarian organisation focused on active lifestyles, inclusive sport and green practices.Within BTBC, they take on the role of eco-manager and support broader communication efforts.

Key responsibilities:

  • ensuring eco-friendly practices during events and activities

  • promoting sustainability within sports environments

  • supporting dissemination and communication strategies

  • contributing to the creation of accessible resources and visual materials

Their presence strengthens the project’s commitment to sustainability and modern communication.


A European partnership built on cooperation

Although each organisation has a different identity and expertise, what unites them is a shared belief:sport should be a safe space for everyone.

This partnership ensures:

  • balanced distribution of tasks

  • shared decision-making

  • diverse perspectives on youth sport

  • international exchange of methods and best practices

  • broad dissemination across three national contexts

Together, these four organisations embody the collaborative spirit at the heart of Erasmus+ projects.


Working together for meaningful change

As BTBC unfolds, the contribution of each partner will be essential to produce high-quality resources, deliver impactful training and inspire sports clubs throughout Europe.
