ABSTRACT
Project and Objectives
STAY – What: We aim to support sports associations and trainers in preventing adolescent sports dropouts.
STAY – How: We want to promote the “You should stay!” method, which supports sports educators in developing multisectoral skills to promote healthy group dynamics.
STAY – Why: The problem of voluntary sports dropout must find an answer in the attitude and proposal of the sports associations… The solution lies in knowledge.
STAY – tell me more:
Adolescence has very complex specific characteristics. Sports associations and Youth Workers must be trained on the dynamics of this fundamental phase of life to find strategic solutions to stimulate adolescents to continue their sporting path. The “You should stay” method gives youth workers various multi-sectoral skills, improving their approach to managing groups of adolescents. It is based on sports activities, communication techniques, training data, and educational tools.
“You Should Stay” is structured into 4 modules:
Module 1: The importance of sport for adolescent psycho-physical development.
Module 2: Adolescence as an evolutionary phase.
Module 3: Youth worker and his skills between Sport and dialogue.
Module 4: Diversified training.
